FLINT HILLS FRONTIERS,
AN ECOREGIONAL PLAN FOR 19 COUNTIES IN KANSAS
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Christina was the internal project manager for the team comprised of BNIM Planning, Flint Hills Regional Council, inNative, LEAMGroup, and Biomimicry 3.8. Outreach and engagement of 19 rural counties to participate in building a regional vision and goals resulted in creating an online set of metrics, strategies and a planning resource library. The process to build coalitions of diverse public and private organizations also resulted in unprecedented cooperation between conservation agencies and ranchers to protect the most endangered natural resource of North America, the Tallgrass Prairie.
