Christina Hoxie started Hoxie Collective in 2017. She has been practicing urban and regional planning in the greater Kansas City area since 2008. Prior to 2008, Christina worked in architectural practices in Chicago and Houston since 1995. Christina’s work focuses on providing comprehensive, actionable planning solutions that are pragmatic, creative, and owned by their unique communities.
The process to achieve these integrated, community-driven solutions is where the innovation lies. Christina is an empathetic listener and strategic thinker who facilitates informed dialogue to find common ground and creates clear decision-making processes that build trust. She also seeks opportunities during planning and analysis processes to build multi-sector partnerships that assist the implementation of solutions from public policy, to educational programs, to housing, mobility, and green infrastructure solutions.
Christina’s deep love of nature and neighborhoods carry over into her community service activities in Deep Roots committee leadership, and Heartland Conservation Alliance committee service, as well as volunteering with various community gardening initiatives.
